Tony Cochran Guitars Custom #50
Some electric guitars have stories and some have legends. Dividion P. Tolitta's father, Nappy Tolitta, left the army in 1959 and came home to a very gone wife. She left nothing but 12 year old Dividion and a note that explained very little. Nappy took this as a golden opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream. He wanted to raise bulls to fight in the Plaza de Toros in Spain. Dividion didn't want to go. He wanted to be Buddy Holly the Rock Star in America, not Dividion the bull poop scooper in Spain. Nappy bribed him with a pawn shop guitar of extraordinary beauty. So he went. On a beautiful sunny day on a ranch in Seville, Nappy made a wrong move while feeding the bulls and got a horn in the gut so hard that it pinned him to a wooden fence. Dividion was nearby playing "Not Fade Away." He leaped up and, in an attempt to save his dad, beat the bull to death with the guitar. He later used the bull's hide, which was gifted to him by the ranch's owner, to cover the horrible stains the Gold Top endured. Toro!
