Tony Cochran Guitars Custom #67
Merrit P. Lithup was an infamous medium who told fortunes in Room 46 at the Hotel Mount Dora in Florida. His best years were before all the gin got the best of him, probably between 65 and 68. His best trick was hanging this guitar over a huge circle on the floor where it would pendulum back and forth answering, simple "yes" and "no" questions in a "psychic" manner. Between sessions, he would blast old Blind Willie McTell tunes through an ancient Valco Tonemaster until the next sucker stopped by. He went to jail in early 69 for tax evasion. The guitar was sold to pay court costs. I got it in trade in 2017. God knows where it was in between!
