Looks like a pretty fancy guitar to be found locked in a gun safe and buried in Eureka, South Dakota, but truth is strange sometimes. In July 2016, crews were starting construction of the new high school when the big yellow Komatsu PC 200 excavator broke a tooth off its bucket while striking solid steel. Pulled from the ground was an old, but intact, Liberty gun safe. David Grierson was running the machine and was only too happy to pull this from the safe. It was swathed in oil cloth, but amazingly undamaged save its wretched state of tune. There was a note. "Written in some kind of Siamese or sumpin'," David said. "There was pichers of people with warthog heads and like that and one of a dog with wings or sumpin', but I couldn't read it." He threw it away or I would have included it in the sale.
